Side-view microverse
A no-physics playground inspired by classic pixel sandboxes. Each digital being is just two stacked pixels standing on the ground and can shuffle left or right across multiple depth layers — slipping in front of or behind others — and now they self-replicate when two neighbors share the same trait.
Front is closest to the viewer; switch layers to inspect beings behind others.
